ABOUT BJORN…

Tell us about your first race.
My first race was a Time Trial somewhere in Wisconsin with my dad. I was so nervous and I really didn’t know what was going on, except that I had to ride as hard as I could. That is what I did, I came through the finish line and I couldn’t feel anything in my body. I fell right over after getting off my bike, which took awhile.

What makes you most excited about riding for the Trek-LIVESTRONG team?
The opportunity to spread cancer awareness with the LIVESTRONG name and being able to work with some of the biggest names in the cycling industry.

How did you get started in bicycle racing?
My father was a professional cyclist, so he gave me the opportunity and I chose try my hand at it. I got my start racing BMX when I was 8 or 9 and raced until I was 13. Then I started racing citizen races all over Wisconsin before I joined the USCF.
